Monochromatic Cool Toned Pink Makeup with Colourpop Heavy Petal Palette
This cool toned pink eyeshadow look was created using an older Colourpop palette, Heavy Petal. It has refreshing spring vibes that’s great for everyday makeup looks. You can also use any light pink eyeshadow you have as this eye look is very simple, using only three eyeshadow shades. The rest of my makeup uses other affordable Korean and western beauty brands for a cute and bright monochromatic pink look.
Colourpop constantly has sales throughout the year, so when they release a new palette I tend to wait until the next sale to grab it instead. That might mean I won’t get to try out the trending new makeup right away, but I do save money, which is helpful when you have a giant makeup collection like I do. I also think it’s always a good idea to showcase older palettes and makeup tutorials using them. Most of the time, you will find a few reviews of new makeup when it’s released, and then no more tutorials or makeup looks using them. It can be quite hard to find different makeup inspiration using older palettes past the initial flood of new makeup videos. I like shopping my stash and using older makeup to remind myself why I wanted to buy them in the first place.

To start, apply Floral Feels from the Colourpop Heavy Petal palette on the inner eye. It’s a lighter, cool toned pink that creates a gradient when you apply the mid-tone pink shade Peony on the outer eye.
Apply Peony on the outer eye, just above your eye crease. I tend to blend and blow out my eyeshadow colors on the lid for a smoky watercolor effect.
Then I used the Refined glitter shade from the Unleashia All of Glitter palette and put that all over the lid. I recommend using a glitter primer on the eyes first if you are afraid of fall out. Tap the glitter shadow over the lids using a fingertip. It just adds that little bit of fairy like shine as the glitter has a clear base.

Colourpop Heavy Petal palette
Unleashia All of Glitter palette
Kara Beauty Chic to Chic blush palette
Jo Malone Nashi Blossom perfume
I must have been feeling the monochromatic vibe as I chose the shade Rosewood from the Kara Beauty Chic to Chic neutral blush palette for my cheek color. It is a slightly more coral pink than Peony, but has the same cool tones. Kara Beauty is also an affordable beauty brand that has frequent sales with just as cute packaging as Colourpop products. For my lip, I used rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint in Bare Grape, a cool toned light mauve. You can find it on Amazon. *I earn a commission for purchases made from the link below* I selected Jo Malone Nashi Blossom as a fragrance for its citrus and floral spring scent.

I thought a video of my makeup eye looks would better showcase the glitter so I will be adding them in future blog posts.
